ALTERNATIVE ENERGY PETITION
We call for the United States Government, The Office of the President, The United States Congress and Various Government Agencies to act on the precedent of the Manhattan Project and act immediately to combine the human and financial resources currently being spent on alternative energy development projects into one focused effort and rapidly develop and fund a U.S. Alternative Energy Task Force, made up of top experts in the area of alternative energy from the public and private sectors.
The purpose of this ‘task force’ is to:
- Identify which alternative fuel / energy source would have the most impact on reducing our dependence on foreign oil.
- Identify the limiting factors that prevent that alternative from being efficiently used today.
- Develop a solution to those problems.
We call for the development of an affordable, renewable, deliverable alternative form of energy / fuel by 2010.
